Christina Marķa Aguilera was born on December 18th, 1980. She is a successful American pop singer and songwriter. She signed a contract with RCA Records after recording "Reflection" for the film Mulan. Her debut album 'Christina Aguilera' released in 1999 was a critical and commercial success. She then released a Latin pop album 'Mi Reflejo' and a Christmas album, 'My Kind of Christmas' which both sold well.
Christina took creative control over her second studio album Stripped in 2002, which received mixed reviews but sales were still strong. During the album's promotion, she received some poor press over her sexual image. This however has mellowed in recent times turning into respect for her promoting independence and female empowerment. Her third album 'Back to Basics' in 2006 included some soul, jazz, and blues music and was released with better reviews and even better sales. Christina Aguilera has received numerous awards including five Grammy Awards and sixteen nominations and so far she has sold over 30 million albums worldwide.

Christina Aguilera, like most women her age, is very concious about her weight. In order to keep slim Christina follows a strict exercise program and diet. She admitted to British 'Hits' magazine that she is a lover of junk food but that she had had to cut down down on it drastically as "I'm not a teenager any more". She added that she felt it was important to take care of yourself, particularly as a woman, to try and prevent heart disease, cancer and other conditions. Apparently she strongly believes in getting her 'beauty sleep', so presumably she's not keen on late nights and also likes doing weight training and cardio, admitting that she likes to feel strong.
Money
Christina is worth around $200 million dollars with $100 million coming from tours alone. Her record and album sales bring in around $50 million. Sponsorship with Coca-Cola and Pepsi etc., make up the rest plus she released a new fragrance in 2007. The signature perfume with the byline 'Sometimes it's all you need to wear' was launched in October and no doubt will net the huge star a good income especially while she's not going to be so active as a new mum in the future.
